It is said that Dwarfs become tougher and more irascible with age, their grumbling criticism shaming their allies into meeting their formidable standards. You gain +1d on all Tests to remove a condition from yourself or an ally. During social encounters with Dwarf NPCs of any Status, you are expected to be wise, worthy of respect, and impossible to please; you defy their expectations when you argue for embracing new trends or doing things differently to your ancestors. You gain dice modifiers on social Tests when you defy or conform to these expectations, as you would for Statuses (see page 130).
